In this episode, we share some more thoughts on the gap after the rapture and begin talking about some events that may take place in the first half of the tribulation. This discussion included the formation of a global religion and government and an overview of the first 5 seals. For a downloadable version of the show notes, click download below. One world religion and government

In Daniel chapter 7, There is a sequence describing the world’s final kingdom before the Return of Jesus. This is the fourth Gentile kingdom understood in the revealed vision of Daniel chapter 2. It will emerge as a global unified government that “shall devour the whole earth” (v. 23). Then scripture indicates that, “ten kings who shall arise from this kingdom” (v. 24), followed by the Antichrist as: “… another shall rise after them; he shall be different from the first ones, and shall subdue three kings.”  Today we are heading toward fulfillment of this global government and economic system through organizations such as the World Economic Forum and its disciples.

The one-world religious and political system needs to be set up before the tribulation, but it is post-rapture as indicated by Revelation 17. Some believe it is a combination of Mariology (Lady Fatima) and Cybelle, the queen of heaven. The Hariot’s system will come in Christ’s name, not the Antichrist’s name. She is a jezebel, pretending to be a Queen of the true church, but she will be a seductive demonic deception. She will unite and organize this evil global religious system under one power all this will take time.

1 Seal Judgment

After the Rapture, the first seal will be opened up, revealing the Anti-Christ, as a great leader (2 Thess. 2:5-9; Rev.6:2). However, there is not any Scripture indicating that he will confirm the seven-year covenant, peace agreement immediately (Dan. 9:27). His absolute dominant period will take place at the 3 ½ year midpoint of the Tribulation (Rev.13:5). His rise to power will take some time to accomplish these things (Dan. 8:23-25).

The other seals (2nd – 5th)

Next are the 2nd to 5th seals:

  • 2nd seal is the rider on the red horse that takes peace from the earth causing people to kill one another
  • 3rd seal is the rider on the black horse that causes scarcity, what we could say is a global famine
  • 4th seal is the rider on the pale horse that has power over a ⅓ of the earth to kill via hunger, death, and wild animals
  • 5th seal is the cry of the martyrs

Some believe these seals happen within the gap while others believe they take place within the tribulation. Some argue that the first 5 seals are pre-trib judgments because the martyrs ask how long will they continue to be killed:

How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?” (Revelation 6:9-11)

From this, they argue that the trib hasn’t started yet because if it did, the saints would know from the confirmation of the covenant to the end of the trib, it would be 7 years. So because they don’t know the timing, the trib hasn’t started yet.

Keep in mind this is critical to understand in your biblical theology. First, because, these seals Jesus opens up act to ultimately bring Israel to repentance. The church was never promised wrath (See Romans 5:8-11, 1 Thessalonians 1:10). Second, these believers are not in purgatory nor are they praying for believers on the earth. These saints are in heaven and they are calling on the Lord to Judge and to avenge their blood, on those who dwell on the earth. They are seeking to be avenged. Third, they are given different robes, the Greek word for these robes is Stole’ it is different from the robes given to the church. These souls also include Jewish believers as Identified in Daniel 9 and in Matthew 24:9-13. They are the fulfillment of Zechariah 13:8

“And it shall come to pass in all the land,” Says the Lord, “That two-thirds in it shall be cut off and die, But one–third shall be left in it: I will bring the one–third through the fire, Will refine them as silver is refined, And test them as gold is tested. They will call on My name, And I will answer them. I will say, ‘This is My people’; And each one will say, ‘The Lord is my God.’ ” (‭‭Zechariah‬ ‭13‬:‭8‬-‭9,‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

The Gospel Presentation

Revelation 19:10 tells us that the essence of bible prophecy is Jesus Christ. These things were revealed to us so that we ultimately believe in Christ (John 13:19). We’ve all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Psalm 51:5, Romans 3:23). Because God is Holy he must judge sin. The penalty of this sin is death and ultimately the Lake of fire (Romans 6:23, Revelation 20:11-15). There’s nothing we can do to save ourselves (Isaiah 64:6).

But God, in his love has provided a way to escape his wrath through Christ (John 3:16-18, John 14:6). Jesus paid for our sin penalty by taking God’s wrath in our stead on the cross (Romans 5:8). He died for our sins, was buried, and rose again 3 days later (1 Corinthians 15:1-5).

You can accept this free gift of salvation by believing in Christ (Acts 16:30-31, Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:8-9). Make sure you’ve made the right decision about Jesus today (2 Corinthians 6:2)! It will be the most important decision of your life, for eternal life.
